JanusPA is an in line, hardware privacy and anonymity adapter. You can use it with a single PC or multiple PCs on a network. It will re-route all of your TCP network traffic through Tor. If you use it with OpenVPN then it will redirect all your traffic through the VPN connection.

Yoggie is the hardware manufacture. Originally JanusPA used Gumstix hardware, but Gumstix discontinued the product line.
What operating systems does JanusPA support?
JanusPA works with any operating system that uses IPv4 for Internet communication.
What types of programs can I use with JanusPA?
You can use any Web browser, e-mail client, Instant Messaging, Torrents, RSS readers, or any other application that use the TCP protocol. If you use your JanusPA with OpenVPN, then ICMP, UDP, and TCP are all supported.

How do I use JanusPA with my laptop of desktop PC?
Just plug in your desktop or laptop to the “PC” port using a cross-over CAT5 Ethernet cable, plug in the “NET” port to your router or DSL/Cable modem, and power it on with the build in USB cable or the external AC power.
How do I use JanusPA with my existing LAN?
You can setup a private and anonymous section within your existing infrastructure by placing JanusPA between your switch and the router or parent switch. JanusPA will support up to 253 PCs.
Login to the SSH server and type “januspa-update.sh” then hit enter. You may have to run it a few times if the update receives a connection timeout when trying to connect to the server.
How safe is updating my adapter?
The update server uses a .onion (Tor hidden service) address, and JanusPA uses that .onion address to download updates. This ensures that your real IP address is not leaked when getting updates, and all the traffic is encrypted.
If I forget my root password, can it be recovered?
No. You want to make sure you write it down and store it in a safe place. Ifyou forget your password, it can not be recovered.
